Thank you so much to Elliott Slattery for taking time out of your busy day to make all of the women at RML (Reclaiming My Life Sober Home) and KMS (Keeping My Serenity Sober Home) feel a little extra special yesterday. Sharing little things like these treats brings smiles to our faces!     Rob’s legacy lives on through such wonderful people. Another year of life…

Happy Birthday Brittney! It is such a blessing to be able to celebrate your birthday this year. I was so afraid that you wouldn’t make it to see another year of life. You came into my life when I was completely broken, and you taught me about survival through helping others. You and I gave birth to Rob’s house, and then to Kristin’s house. And then you lost your way. As you wake up this morning and start another year … Read More

A precious gift this Christmas…

Tonight was our Christmas dinner with all of the girls from Reclaiming My Life and Keeping My Serenity. Joining us were all of the women who help to run the houses, people who have adopted our houses, and three of us moms who have lost our beautiful children to the disease of addiction. As I looked around the room this evening, I was very aware that this was all happening because Rob died. And as heartbreaking as it is, it … Read More

From day one of starting Rising Above Addiction, Rob has been my my side, guiding me to fulfill his purpose. Brittney, I am so … Read More

Dear Alyssa, Sarah, Jennifer, and Lindsey, Thank you for allowing Rob to be a part of your recovery journeys. It is so cool that you all lived at Rob’s house and still remain close friends today. It is beautiful to watch each one of your successes of recovery! Sarah knew that I needed to be reminded that Rob’s death was not in vain, and that’s it’s okay to feel happy. Reclaiming My Life… a visit from Crystal

I came by the Reclaiming My Life house before my class and weeded the flower box and cut the dead stuff out the flower box too. I’m truly amazed at how well these flowers have grown in these last three to four weeks. It’s also kinda like saying me and all the women who still live here or who have also moved on are growing into beautiful flowers just like the ones I planted in this flower box back in … Read More
