My Book, “Recliaming My Life”, is Published!!!

posted in: Uncategorized 0

For the past year, I have been working on writing a book. I had no idea where this journey would take me. My purpose for writing this book was simple: to help others and to continue to heal from losing my son. The emotions that came with writing this book were not so simple. Experiencing my life play out before me was difficult, and I shed many tears along the way.

However, replaying my life has taught me that I am strong and that I am a survivor.

My hope is that this book will give hope, provide healing, create change and help people to find the strength to go on.

“Reclaiming My Life” is published! And I want to thank all of the wonderful people who helped to make this book a success.

To Sylvia Blair: www.blaircopywriting.com

Sylvia, thank you for believing in me and my story. It was an absolute pleasure having you in my home and cooking for you, while we spent hours upon hours working on this book.

Being completely vulnerable, honest and raw about my life was emotionally taxing at times. You listened with openness and without judgement and got to know the real me.

Somewhere along this journey we developed a friendship that is sure to last a lifetime.

To Kelly Heck: www.kellyheckphotography.com & www.websitegurl.com

Kelly, you have been with me since the beginning of Rising Above Addiction. You have helped me to establish an online presence with your expertise of creating a beautiful website, while remaining sensitive to the fact that this is a non-profit, born out of the loss of my son.

Your skills and talent shine through with all that you do.

Thank you for agreeing to be the photographer for the cover of Reclaiming My Life. You did an amazing job of capturing the essence of the book.

You have become a friend and someone that I admire and respect.

To Miles Dillon: www.graphicforms.net

I would like to thank Miles Dillon, owner, Graphic Forms, Printing and Promotions, who printed Reclaiming My Life and his graphic artist, Michelle Huffaker, who designed and laid out the book.
