Today was my recovery run… the 5th Annual Rising Above Addiction Running 4 Recovery event. Thank you to everyone who came out to support us today. Our community always shows up. Today was all about remembering and honoring all of the precious lives that have been lost to this terrible disease. Today was also about celebrating all of the beautiful people who have overcome their struggles of addiction.
It is also the first year of collaboration with the HOFFA Foundation and Carroll County Adult Drug Treatment Court. A special thank you to HOFFA – Healing Opportunity Free From Addiction and Carroll County Adult Drug Treatment Court, for joining Running 4 Recovery. This run is a perfect example of non-profits partnering together for one cause. We are stronger together!

It’s been a very busy month! Starting with our annual golf tournament, ending with our annual Running 4 Recovery and a lot of crazy things happening at our sober houses in between. I am amazed at all of the beautiful things that have come out of Rob’s death. And, although I would give it all away to have him back, I am honored and I am humbled by it all. If you had the pleasure of knowing Rob, you know why he lives on. Thank you again, to everyone who supports Rising Above Addiction. So many lives have been changed and saved, and will continue to be touched because of him.
